Shopping diaper/nappy in Ginza, Tokyo – Store list –

When you travel with baby, buying diaper locally is very helpful to reduce your luggage.

Basically you can get baby diaper at supermarket or drug store easily everywhere in Japan, but speaking of Ginza city, it’s hard to find baby diaper selling store even for Japanese… I guess it’s because parents don’t generally shop diaper in this area and space taker diapers are not usually on shelf for space reason.

So here is baby diaper store list in Ginza area by my research – for mom & dad visiting or staying Ginza.

Matsumoto Kiyoshi Ginza Miyuki Ave. store (Drug store)

Mid-size drug store next to Ginza SIX shopping complex. (about 3min walk from Ginza main crossing)
Baby goods are on B1F. (there is elevator)
Diaper, baby formula, baby snacks, baby wash, baby oil, baby wipes are available.

Drug Papas Tsukiji store (Drug store)

If you can walk for a while toward Tsukiji area, mid-size drug store is on the way.
(About 10~15min walk from Ginza, or about 5min walk from Tsukiji).

This is more local drug store selling daily necessities.
Diapers, baby formula, baby snacks, baby wash, baby oil, baby wipes are available.

Furthermore, 100 yen shop “Daiso” ($1 shop) is on 2nd floor.
There are some small toys for kids too.

Don Quijote Ginza (Discount store)

One of the famous Japanese discount store “Don Quijote” is in south end of Ginza. (Shinbashi-side)
Not only diapers or foods, there are almost everything you need for daily life …
Just It might hard to go with active toddler. (too many things they want to touch or easily get lost)

This store open from morning till midnight – this is very helpful!!!

Bic Camera Yurakucho (Appliance store)

One of the largest appliance store in Tokyo, “Bic camera” (Yurakucho store) has quite big home daily necessities section. It’s just like drug store, baby goods are in the very back of 3rd floor.
There is toy section on 4F too.
Might be too crowded for family though, this big store is popular for souvenir shopping.
