***This special area for kids has been closed to prevent Covid-19, and resumed as exhibition to see in 2022 spring. (it used to be wonderful kids play & learning zone before pandemic..) ***

In addition, there is kids-specialized play area Inside the museum named “COMPASS“.
There are many stuffed specimen, slide, toys, insect displays…
You need ticket to get in (for 45min play time) in advance, really worth to get it.

There are 1 restaurant and 1 cafe inside the museum.
Roof top terrace is also nice rest space.

How long does it take to see?

It’s depends of your kids age, I think you can enjoy approx. 2-3 hours here.

  1. […] Too much crowded as this is one of THE most famous Cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo. It’s fun to see how Japanese people enjoy “Hanami” (drinking under the cherry blossom), but too many people to take kids there during this special season. I love this park, but better avoid this season when kids are still small. →about Ueno ZOO→about National Museum of Nature and Science at Ueno park […]
