Buying snacks for babies and toddlers in a foreign country can be kind of scary,, isn’t it?
I understand that many moms and dads bring their kids’ favorite snacks from home.
But if your family is staying in Japan for about a week, you’ll eventually need to buy some snacks for your little ones.
So here are my 10 recommendations!
I’ve picked Healthier, Trusted, Long-selling, Store-Bought snacks that many Japanese parents choose for their kids.
When kids get cranky, we often don’t have time to carefully compare everything…
So I hope this list helps all parents who just want to see their children smile 😊

- Convenience stores → Great for popular go-to snacks
- Drugstores → Especially for baby/toddler snacks

- 100-yen shops → Many sell snacks too
- Baby specialty stores → Ex. Akachan Honpo, Nishimatsuya
