The most famous street in Autumn Tokyo [ Jingu-Gaien Gingko street ]

This Beautiful Gingko Street attracts many people every Autumn – The street about 300m ( = 990ft ) long with 146 gingko trees planted in 1923.
The best season is mid November to mid December which all leaves color turned yellow, but green leaves season are also beautiful.

The building you will see ahead the gingko street is Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, built in 1926.

Location

It’s about 5min walk from Gaien-mae Subway station, or Aoyama-Itchome Station (Subway Ginza Line).
Easy to walk with stroller.

Note before you go

There are some restaurants on this street, but so crowded on beautiful Autumn season… furturemore, no convenience store around this area.
Good to bring some light snacks and drinks at least for kids.

Also, You might find Gingko seeds on the ground – they have strong odor – try not to step on them!

There is children’s outdoor playground called Niko-Niko park ( paid playground ),
But it is not opened for public since COVID 19 pandemic… (as of 2023 SEP)

Hope it will resume soon!
